In this video, Gil Boyne hypnotises Hungary’s #1 pop singer Kiraly Viktor (known as King Victor). Initially, Victor appears to show “resistance” – however by the end of the session, he has developed a good level of trance.

This was great demo how to handle situation, what we all face at the times. What I would wish to see also was after hypnosis interview.
The post hypnotic interview is the first thing that came into my mind after watching the video. I would really like to see his reaction and hear his perception of what evolved., Thanks,
Lee
Unfortunately, this was footage shot by the hungarian TV crew, and the post hypnotic interview was not broadcast. Perhaps John or Gil can recall some of his comments.
This video helped me today when it took three attempts for eye catalepsy. I thought about the patience Gil has for this man. He just keeps talking with great intentions and as you see Gil close his own eyes to picture what he is saying the man begins to respond. Great workship getting such a tense person to a trance. Thank you for the training.
This is a classic Gil Boyne rapid induction. We did not see the pre-induction talk, but it could have included “pointing-up” for the client to prepare him for the “eye closure.” i.e. “In a moment I will ask you to close your eyes. I do this, that you might more easily picture and imagine those thoughts and ideas I wish to convey.” When the resistance to eye closure was experienced, Gil seamlessly shifted gears and used the “light arm/heavy arm levitation” as a deepener and proover (convincer), to help/satisfy the client that he could enter hypnosis. When the levitation succeded, you will notice that the eye closure was immediately accomplished, and the suggestion was accepted (compliance). When his hand touched his chest, he finally relaxed/released and his eyes closed down. This signalled Boyne to continue with the beneficial and life affirming suggestions. (essentially exerpted from his “confidence and self esteem” script)
It can be difficult to achieve trance under the bright lights, with cameras running and friends and coworkers looking on. I think this was the primary cause of the reluctance to accept the eye closure. In a more private atmosphere, the acceptance would have been easier.
I also misssed the “contract.” This is deadly important in achieving compliance. 1. Would you like me to Hypnotise you now? 2. “If you follow my simple instructions, there is not a power on earth that will prevent you from entering a pleasant and beneficial state of Hypnosis.”
It is always a pleasure to watch the Master work. Well Done.
Hello Rob
A brief reply to your question based on what I remember. Afterwards Viktor was very relaxed. He made a comment along the lines that he was aware of what was happening while in trance but was very relaxed. He displayed the common misconception, essentially an “equation” that hypnosis equals unawareness. Gil addressed this comment and asked him about his positive responses to the suggestions given and Viktor was very happy that he had responded well and was so relaxed.
Best regards
